BECOMING A MEMBER OF SOLIHULL THEATRE COMPANYSolihull Theatre Company is an open and inclusive society where new members are an important part of the ongoing development of the society. We offer Performing and Non-Perfoming membership and are interested in speaking to anyone who would like to consider being part of a modern amateur theatre society. Check out membership options below and get in touch if you're interested.
NEW MEMBERSHIP OPTIONSNew performing membership typically happens in late summer and autumn when we commence rehearsals for that years production. We usually host an open night in early September where everyone is welcome to come along and see what we’re about. This is advertised via our website and via our Facebook page. After 3-4 weeks into rehearsals we tend to close performing membership for that year. We usually have high interest in new female performing members joining us which sometimes involves us operating a waiting list with first preference given to existing members renewing.
PERFORMING MEMBERSHIPIf spaces are available, Performing Membership is open to those over the age of 16 at the beginning of the financial year (September 1st). This entitles the member to take part in the annual production for that year. Potential new performing members will need to satisfy the society of their acting/musical ability by being auditioned.
Membership is renewed every 12 months aligned to the Annual General Meeting which takes place in September. Existing Performing members are entitled to vote at Annual General Meeting on constitutional matters and election of the Executive Committee.
(£95 or £45 for Student in Full Time Education)
NON-PERFORMING MEMBERSHIPNon-Performing Membership is open to anyone over the age of 16 wishing to support the goals of society or stand for election on the Executive Committee. Membership is renewed every 12 months aligned to the Annual General Meeting which takes place in September. Non-Performing members are entitled to vote at Annual General Meeting on constitutional matters and election of the Executive Committee. Anyone wishing to support the society in a voluntary capacity such as back stage does not necessarily need to be a Non-Performing Member.
